GaitAI PediatricMotion
Longitudinal movement screening for growing children.
PediatricMotion supports observation and tracking of children's gait development and movement changes — including toe-walking, gait asymmetry, developmental movement monitoring, orthopedic follow-up, cerebral-palsy rehabilitation monitoring and sports movement screening.

Problem
Children's movement changes with growth, which makes it hard to tell developmental variation from a pattern that deserves follow-up — especially from occasional visual checks.
What GaitAI does
Short guided captures are converted into consistent screening indicators that can be compared across months of growth or treatment.
Who uses it
- Pediatric physiotherapists
- Pediatric orthopedic clinics
- Developmental follow-up programs
- Rehabilitation centres
- Schools and academies
What they receive
Example report values — illustrative, not measured performance claims.
Outputs are screening and monitoring support: they show whether a pattern like toe-walking or asymmetry is persisting, improving or resolving over time. They are not a developmental or medical diagnosis.
Why it matters
Makes repeated movement observations easier to compare throughout growth or treatment — the same walk, measured the same way, every visit.
Example workflow
- 01Record a short guided walk
- 02AI extracts screening indicators
- 03Session joins the child's longitudinal record
- 04Clinician reviews change over growth / treatment
- 05Parent receives a plain-language summary
Deployment
- Clinic capture or guided at-home capture
- Growth-aware longitudinal records
- Parent-friendly reports alongside clinical views
- School / academy screening programs
Research basis
Published work is the research foundation for the capabilities this product is built on. That record covers the movement-analysis methods themselves — it is not a validation of this product's outputs, and there is no clinical validation study, accuracy benchmark or trial result behind them.

Claim / capability: 5 published records inform shared platform capabilities this module uses (Gait recognition & biometrics). The research does not address this module's application specifically.
Status: Available
Applicability: Shared capabilities such as pose estimation or temporal modelling are used by many modules.
Limitation: A shared-platform relationship is the weakest research link and must not be read as validating this module.

Privacy & responsible use
Designed to support consent-based capture, encrypted transfer, configurable retention and role-based access, with activity logging and skeleton-only processing modes. Deployment requirements depend on the applicable environment, organization and jurisdiction. Privacy-aware architecture does not automatically mean anonymity: pose, gait and trajectories may still carry identifying information. GaitAI outputs are AI-generated movement metrics intended as decision support — they do not diagnose medical conditions and do not replace clinical judgement. Children and school workflows require guardian and institutional consent as applicable, limited retention, no automatic identity matching unless specifically authorized, and no automated educational decisions. Qualified people must review movement observations in context.
Context & limitations
- Presented as screening / monitoring support, not diagnosis
- Children's variable walking requires more captures for stable trends
- Indicators inform follow-up decisions made by clinicians
