GaitAI SeniorCare
Surface longitudinal mobility changes and decline indicators for review.
SeniorCare provides periodic movement assessments and longitudinal mobility summaries for older adults.

Problem
Gradual decline may be missed when assessment occurs only after a complaint, near-fall or visible functional deterioration.
What GaitAI does
Create an individual mobility baseline and compare subsequent assessments against that baseline.
Who uses it
- Senior-living facilities
- Elderly-care centres
- Home-care organisations
- Families / caregivers
- Preventive-health programs
What they receive
Example report values — illustrative, not measured performance claims.
Scores are read against the resident's own baseline: a sustained downward trend is an early indicator to review mobility support, footwear, environment or therapy — not a diagnosis.
Why it matters
Routine, low-effort assessments make gradual change visible on a chart rather than only in hindsight, while a review is still useful.
Example workflow
- 01Establish a mobility baseline on enrolment
- 02Run a short monthly walking assessment
- 03AI compares against the individual baseline
- 04Decline alerts surface to care staff
- 05Family receives a plain-language summary
Deployment
- Facility-wide monthly screening programs
- Resident-level longitudinal records
- Family caregiver summaries
- FallRisk escalation for residents whose profile shifts
Research basis
Published work is the research foundation for the capabilities this product is built on. That record covers the movement-analysis methods themselves — it is not a validation of this product's outputs, and there is no clinical validation study, accuracy benchmark or trial result behind them.

Claim / capability: 6 published records inform shared platform capabilities this module uses (Gait recognition & biometrics, Pose-based gait analysis). The research does not address this module's application specifically.
Status: Available
Applicability: Shared capabilities such as pose estimation or temporal modelling are used by many modules.
Limitation: A shared-platform relationship is the weakest research link and must not be read as validating this module.

Privacy & responsible use
Designed to support consent-based capture, encrypted transfer, configurable retention and role-based access, with activity logging and skeleton-only processing modes. Deployment requirements depend on the applicable environment, organization and jurisdiction. Privacy-aware architecture does not automatically mean anonymity: pose, gait and trajectories may still carry identifying information. GaitAI outputs are AI-generated movement metrics intended as decision support — they do not diagnose medical conditions and do not replace clinical judgement.
Context & limitations
- Monthly cadence bounds how quickly change can be detected
- Scores reflect movement during the assessment, not full daily function
- Decline alerts are indicators for review, not clinical determinations
