GaitAI ReID
Track the same person across cameras — by gait.
ReID estimates cross-camera correspondence using body- and movement-level signatures — for authorized investigation and operational continuity when appearance changes, faces are unavailable or cameras capture people from a distance.

Problem
Cross-camera continuity is difficult when appearance changes, faces are unavailable or cameras capture people from a distance.
What GaitAI does
Gait and body-level movement signatures link candidate observations across cameras, producing confidence-scored trails and camera-transition maps for human review.
Who uses it
- Airports and rail networks
- Large campuses
- Enterprise investigation teams
- Authorized security operations
What they receive
Example report values — illustrative, not measured performance claims.
Results are confidence-based candidate matching, not infallible identity proof. A trail is a hypothesis for an investigator to verify against other evidence.
Why it matters
Continuity across cameras — the question every multi-camera investigation asks — becomes a ranked, reviewable hypothesis instead of hours of manual matching.
Example workflow
- 01Authorized case defines the tracked subject and scope
- 02Movement signatures are computed per observation
- 03Candidate matches link observations across cameras
- 04Each link carries a confidence score
- 05Investigator confirms or rejects each candidate
Deployment
- Case-scoped, access-controlled operation
- Confidence thresholds configured per deployment
- Every match logged for audit
- Runs under PrivacyGuard policy gates
Research basis
Published work is the research foundation for the capabilities this product is built on. That record covers the movement-analysis methods themselves — it is not a validation of this product's outputs, and there is no clinical validation study, accuracy benchmark or trial result behind them.

Privacy & responsible use
Designed to support consent-based capture, encrypted transfer, configurable retention and role-based access, with activity logging and skeleton-only processing modes. Deployment requirements depend on the applicable environment, organization and jurisdiction. Privacy-aware architecture does not automatically mean anonymity: pose, gait and trajectories may still carry identifying information. Movement analytics are designed to run without identifying individuals unless a deployment lawfully and explicitly requires it, and identity-related capabilities are intended only for lawful, authorized deployments with appropriate governance, access control and auditability. Outputs are decision support for trained operators — not autonomous enforcement. Watchlist, ReID, AccessMotion and ForensicSearch require documented lawful authority, consent where applicable, purpose-limited access, audit logs and human review. Candidate associations are not proof of identity and must not trigger automatic denial, enforcement or adverse decisions.
Context & limitations
- Confidence-based candidates — not identity proof
- Signature quality varies with viewpoint and capture conditions
- Restricted to authorized, case-scoped use under policy
